Originally from Yaoundé, André Manga is a composer, arranger and bass virtuoso who develops a musical universe of his own. jazz-fusion and afro-jazz marked by the traditional sounds of Cameroon, such as bikutsi and the makossa.
At the age of 7 he made his first musical instrument, a pseudo-marimba made from tree trunks and bamboo and later designed a guitar with strings made from bicycle brake cables.
This passion for music and a lot of discipline have taken him to the greatest artists like Manu Dibango first, being his boss
orchestra for nearly a decade; and then on stages around the world accompanying artists like
Michael Jackson, Pierre Akendengue, Martin Rompavet, Hilarion Nguema, Angelique kidjo,
The Temptations, boyz II Men, Bill Mcpherson, Patrice Rushein, Andrea Bocceli, etc. and currently Josh Groban.
Their two albums released to date present jazz full of groove, one marked by its musical origins, Mothers Rhythm, and the second for universal sounds and artists, Voyages.
