Daughter of the illustrious poet and singer-songwriter of Haiti, Jan Sebon, Inez Barlatier has grown up bathed in Caribbean music and guided by the oral tradition and history of her people that she now shares with the world from Miami through her musical and theatrical works or in her job as an educator.
With a scholarship from prestigious state institutions, Inez produced the children's show “Ayiti: Stories & Songs from Haiti” presented at the International Youth Arts Conference 2020., and participates in many other theatrical or musical works presented on international stages. Inez strives to influence the lives of women and girls using the arts as a tool for self-affirmation.
At the age of 12 he joined his father, Jan's, band. Sebon & Kazak International, acquiring unparalleled experience; for then directing his own band, Kazoots, for 6 years.
Alone, in a trio or with larger groups, she delivers poetic, delicate, authentic Caribbean folk; transmits light, smile and strength.
